Helen Kent Davis, long-time Texas Primary Care Consortium (TPCC) colleague and friend, has been recognized by the Texas Legislature with House Resolution 2328. The resolution commends Kent Davis for her 25 years of advocacy on women’s and children’s health issues in Texas.
Kent Davis is currently associate vice-president for governmental affairs at the Texas Medical Association (TMA). In her role, she is responsible for health care policy research, development, and advocacy on diverse state and national regulatory and legislative issues.
Kent Davis has been a tireless advocate for women’s and children’s health, primary care, behavioral health, and uninsured and underinsured Texans. Her extensive knowledge of policy and legislation is unparalleled as is her skill in helping advance the health of all Texans, especially the most at-risk. She has helped guide TMA’s Ad Hoc Committee on the Medical Home and Primary Care to a standing committee on primary care.
